the video showed shouta setting up the camera in what looked to be a nursery. the man stopped fidgeting with the camera before stepping over to the crib, his expression melting into something unbearably fond as he reached inside to heft the little bundle up, izuku kicking his dangling feet.
there was a pause as the man stared at his child as though izuku grew an extra limb before shouta blinked in confusion. “where’s your scrunch?”
the confusion slowly melted from shouta’s face and was replaced with surprise, then, to something akin to awe and disbelief.
“are you smiling at me, bubba? can you see me?” he asked the baby, izuku responding with a coo.

Despite his immediate response, the dragon is unfazed, sitting on its hind legs, belly exposed. Bakugo blinks- how fucking stupid was this thing? His eyes are drawn to the claw that is suddenly pointed at him, pressing into his chest before dropping to the ground and scratching into the dirt. /stay here/. It stays for a moment before lumbering off into the woods. Ditching Bakugo to stew in confusion. He’s only just moving to lie back down on the grass when a sudden noise sounds around him, jarring him.

And then, Keigo said, “I don’t… I don’t really know where- how to start.”
“Pick anywhere,” Hizashi told the boy. “You can always backtrack or speed forward if you need to. I’ll pick up on it, wherever you choose to begin.”
“Okay…” Keigo replied. Taking a deep breath, his chest expanding and then relaxing, the teenager said, “They muzzled me. At the HPSC.”
