"I'm hiding in your bathroom," Buck hisses into the phone, "because I just woke up in your bed, in your body, and your son is calling me Dad and asking if it's okay for Spencer's mom to pick him up for school, and I don't even know who Spencer is, please tell me you know what the fuck is happening and how to fix it—"
"No, I don't know what the fuck is happening!" Eddie yells. Buck's voice cracks when he does that, apparently. "Why would I know?"
"You're a paramedic!" Buck retorts in a hysterical tone that Eddie's voice has certainly never made before.
"I didn't exactly see this in Afghanistan, Buck!"

Eddie didn’t mean to say it, didn’t even know he was thinking it. Buck shifts a little restlessly.
"I literally could not be closer to you," he says dryly. Which isn’t true, after all. They’re under the same covers, Buck’s body warming him as his must be warming Buck’s, but there’s plenty of space between them.
The only way to change things is to find a way to say what you want.

The hand remained on Eddie’s hip, warm through the glove. Not gripping, just steadying. Reassuring. Eddie gasped out a shaky breath and fought to get his heart rate under control. Why was he so turned on right now? This was totally inappropriate. The doctor was just doing his job, a procedure he probably did ten times a day, and here Eddie was, getting hard about it.
OR: Eddie’s never had a prostate exam before.
