“Last night, I went to sleep in the same bedroom as you in the house we've had since last year,” Phainon says. “This morning, I woke up in an unfamiliar room that looks like it was built a thousand years ago. You weren’t in bed with me, there wasn’t a wedding band on my finger, and”—his eyes flicker to Mydei’s chest, a fiery blush blooming on his face—“you’re half-naked.”
“We sleep together?” Mydei asks, surprised.
Phainon deadpans.
“We’re married.”
(Phainon finds himself in a modern Amphoreus where he and Mydei have been married for years. Mydei finds himself with a Phainon that claims the two of them are married.)

Castorice’s expression turns from worried to simply blank. “Okay, let me get this straight. All because you found out Mydei slept with someone else. But you don’t like Mydei romantically.”
Phainon is confused about why the other woman is just repeating the situation. Nonetheless, she affirms, “Yes, exactly.”

Since they first met, Mydei has always been aware of her feelings for Phainon. In Phainon’s case however, it takes her three years, a failed date, and finding out that she’s not Mydei’s only fuckbuddy to discover two things: (1) she’s always been in love with her best friend and (2) the view is perfect from the top (of Mydei).

Canon phainon suffers 33 million cycles because Yuri phainon didn't want to admit she loved mydei i domt make the rules. Genuinely soo good especially the plot I tore my house up cleaning in anger when they would keep dancing around each other and misunderstand and then the climax with the discussion? Absolute gold omg phainon hurt mydei soo bad theyre both down so bad im so ill. So so good, what are the chances two phaidei fics in read today that I absolutely adore both were written by people who've never played the game? More likely than you think

"Oh my Titans," Cipher said. She wasn't even laughing anymore, which was a sign of the coming end times, probably. "The Little Lion's actually pregnant."
"It's early, obviously," Hyacine said, her brows furrowed. "But the signs are all there. Somehow. To know for certain, we'd have to check again later."
"I'm not pregnant!" Mydei shrieked, his voice oddly high-pitched. Around the clinic, other patients turned to look at him.
Mydei took a long, deep breath. Then, stiffly, he repeated himself. "I am not pregnant."
Or, approximately four months after Amphoreus welcomes the new dawn, Mydei wakes up with an odd golden mark burned directly into his abdomen, identical to the symbol of Worldbearing.
Naturally, he does not, in fact, ask Phainon about this phenomenon. Instead, he discusses with the Trailblazer, obtains terrible advice, and goes on the worst railroad trip of his life.
