    Hello once again, my friends!! I couldn't get these guys outta my head so here's more of these losers. I have three chapters planned out, but anything more for this AU will go here since I wanted to keep "Kill Me With A Smile" short and sweet.

    For the first chapter, Wolfwood meets the parents! He goes over early to surprise Vash (who has a surprise as well (｡•̀ᴗ-)✧) I may have upset some readers last time about them missing their reservation so this is my personal assurance that they make it to the restaurant on time!!     The Flower Shop/Tattoo Parlor AU no one asked for but by God, I'm writing anyway. Everyone making Wolfwood the tattoo artist is valid but trust me, that man works retail (source: I work in a nursery). Vash and Wolfwood are extremely Stampede-coded in this but Milly's there, too. Nai is overprotective of his brother and an asshole. The first chapter is a few snippets of them getting to know each other, and then Wolfwood getting his first tattoo. I'll update the tags to reflect upcoming chapters as they're published. ٩(•̤̀ᵕ•̤́๑)ᵒᵏᵎᵎᵎᵎ

    “You’re an idiot,” Wolfwood says, and Vash laughs a little, despite the fact that he’s clearly in pain. He’s just well versed enough in “Wolfwood speak” to know that when Wolfwood says he’s an idiot, he means it fondly. “Why did you do that?”

    “Because it would have hurt you,” Vash says simply, like it was just a fact of life, that Vash would do whatever it took to keep Wolfwood safe, even if it meant hurting himself.

    Watching Vash watch the sunset, thinking everything over, Nicholas realizes several things.

    One, Vash is one of the crown princes of Noman’s Land.

    Two, Vash is his best friend.

    Three, he’s going to make an incredible king.

    And four, most importantly - and something he already knew – something he’s long known– he’s in love with Vash.

    And that’s a problem, since this isn’t a fairy tale. Not for real. And princes don’t marry their retainers. Princes don’t marry orphan kids. Princes don’t fall in love with orphans, he reminds himself.

    Nicholas sighs softly, quiet enough so Vash doesn’t hear, and lights another cigarette.
