Mike has to fight the urge to scowl and maybe even fake gag at the mention of Robin. Why is it always her? All she did was lie to Joyce about some shit from Back to the Future and all of a sudden Will is praising her like some saint?
On the bright side, that gives him a chance to casually bring her up. The hard part is trying not to sound like a petty idiot when he does.

Summary
The feeling of the rip through his face is sickening.
Later, when Mike has to trace the scar, he’ll see that the claw entered just above his eyebrow, forcing its way through flesh and whatever an eyeball is made of, and exited, widening the groove in his face as it went, to the corner of his mouth. Right now, though, he’s scared, and he may or may not be screaming, and he’s really thinking, at that moment, that his head must be getting ripped apart like an extra in a horror movie.

Today, though, is different, because today, Will is feeling incredibly grateful to have this job. All of a sudden he doesn't mind the sweeping and the dusting and the restocking shelves with books that, quite frankly, aren't to his own taste in any way whatsoever, aside from the tiny comic book section tucked away in the darkest part of the store. He's grateful for the silence and the boredom and the wasting his phone battery scrolling through the Instagram accounts of people he doesn't know or care about.
Because the thing is, if Will didn't have this job, he would have never had the opportunity to lay eyes on the very attractive guy that just walked in, and that, in and of itself, is enough to make him feel, vaguely, like his entire life is complete.

The guy shuts his phone off and reaches up to his ear to pull out an earbud. He shoots Will a grin, which does not help the whole blushing-crimson thing. “Hey,” he says coolly, and Will admires his composure while he wills the earth to collapse beneath him.
The guy quirks an eyebrow at Will when he doesn’t look away, then seems to take in his slightly disheveled and paint-stained appearance - he’d had his painting and drawing class just before he’d gone home, and had managed, as he always does, to get paint everywhere - because his smile grows a little softer, a little fonder. His shoulders relax against the bench, and Will lets out a breath he didn’t realize he was holding. “You get sexiled?”
