Tommy remembers a time where he idolized the heroes on the screens. He remembers a time where his breath would fog up the glass on Christmas morning as he stared at a window with toys. Heroes monetized. Tommy hadn't thought much about it when he was little, when he had stars in his eyes with the hope that he'd crawl his way out of the slums.
It would've been better if Tommy had never existed in the first place.
Freefall was dead.
He should stop falling back on those habits.

Summary

Summary
There is blood, thick and heavy, running from his fingertips down onto his strings, dripping dripping dripping from the fingerboard, falling and staining the wood.
He is frozen for a minute.
Then, he moves, sets the bow on his stand, carefully places his cello on the ground. There is a fog beginning to cover him, beginning to obscure his vision. He moves from his chair, sits with his back to the walls, slides to the floor listlessly.
He feels his hands snap up and grip at his hair, pulling sharply at the blonde curls, and he hears a wail split the air.
