Summary
Draco Malfoy dies during the Battle of Hogwarts.
Not in a moment of redemption.
Not because he chose the “right” side.He dies because a Death Eater casts a Killing Curse into the chaos and Draco is simply in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Instead of death, he wakes up in his eleven-year-old body, carrying the full weight of a war he already lost. Haunted by what he became and terrified of repeating it, Draco resolves to do the only thing that ever made sense to him: survive and keep his family alive.
To do that, he needs Harry Potter.
Because as far as Draco knows, the world only survives if Harry does.
But survival comes with conditions. The world seems to push back when Draco strays too far from what once was, reminding him, subtly, cruelly, that second chances are not given freely.
As Draco struggles to balance what he remembers with what he dares to change, his priorities begin to shift. Protecting Harry becomes less about strategy and more about choice. About loyalty. About love.
Draco Malfoy was given a second chance at life.
Whether he is allowed to keep it is another question entirely.

This is a story about losing one’s magic, whether intentionally or not, and then reclaiming it with the help of a pair of Slytherins.
This is a story about hidden identities, the power of memories and sleeping houses.
This is a story about hiking, tattoos, flowers and writing.
This is a story about falling in love.
___________________“Malfoy, give me a fucking break. I’m not judging you. I’m just trying to make sense of it all. First you tell me you are gay. Astoria as well. Then you tell me you had sex in spite of that, and you got her pregnant.”
Draco rubs his temples. Merlin’s arse! Astoria is so much better at telling this story. She always manages to make it light, and funny, and- and poignant. Draco only manages to make it sound pathetic.Bookmarked by Idkelk132

Summary
In the wake of Voldemort’s defeat, as the lines between justice and vengeance begin to blur across the magical community, Draco returns for his eighth and final year at Hogwarts under the terms and conditions of his probation. With nothing left but determination and a sneer, Draco resolves to pass his NEWTs and make a future for himself that he’ll never be ashamed of. Then students start taking their own revenge, the Weasel is set to go off at any moment, and an angry, haunted Potter begins stalking him again. In all of the madness of nightmares and dueling rooms, auras and side effects, Patronus charms and starry lights, Draco finally learns that the only thing more difficult than facing who you’ve become, is becoming who you are.
NOTE: This work contains very heavy themes (please read the tags) but it is NOT excessively graphic or explicit. I do NOT consider this fic DD:DNE, but I would strongly advise CAUTION. Draco's history is very dark, especially in Part II.
