Summary
Rock Trolls for decades have been set on uniting all the Musical Tribes. In the years of their conquest they've made many Musical Colonies across the lands.
Their newest Colony once called Bergen Town now served its new purpose of converting Trolls to Rock.
The Colony leader J̶o̶h̶n̶ ̶D̶o 𝙅𝙖𝙙𝙚, seen as an honorary member of the Royal Family. 3 years he's done his job of making new Trolls for the Genre he owed so much too and loved
Yet things don't last long, just as his relationship with the Rock royal family continues to burn away along with his declining mental stability with a past Jade had long forgotten. He tries to keep what he has as Leader with this year's batch of Trolls, 5 Bounty Hunters, to convert.
But things begin to go wrong when one of the Bounty Hunters escape under his watch and the Resistance puts his Colony under siege cutting off any help from the Rock Tribe.
Faced with either completing the Conversion to wipe out the Resistance or death. There's only so much Jade can do and it doesn't help many eyes in the Colony would rather watch him die than continue under his leadership
Just how much can a Colony handle until the siege is broken or a Leader is put down?

Aster had been tired for what she always felt to be her whole life and nowadays it wasn't bad per say. It still beat the constant exhaustion she felt when she was Pop Star. Things...things were easier now
She was getting help and was managing her emotions better than she ever did back then. For one she wasn't being horrible mother to Branch, unlike how she was to her other sons. Coming home late or not even being there at home to help Rosiepuff or JD, her little fish, with his siblings
Spruce, Floyd and Clay, her sons she knew nothing about and now she never could with them gone...
Aster didn't try to return to those memories of that period of her life—after all Branch was her priority now
Yet as Aster tucked Branch to bed for the night, humming a familiar lullaby, long suppressed emotions, grief for a distant life, and chances she didn't take was brought back to her.
And Aster couldn't bring herself to push anything away for the night

Aster's reflection over her neglectful behavior towards her family and her trying to process all the mistakes she made as put her career first. This is just me very much me trying to write about my complex Brozone mom oc I made on tumblr. Enjoy

I made ChazDory lovechild, Theodora, as mental happy epilogue for my upcoming beneath the mind au and barely fleshed her out at all on my tumblr.
So here I am giving her own stand alone oneshot on an old cliche bounty hunter JD AU mixed with crystal Dory storyline idea i had a few months ago, of her dealing the consequences of her dads dying and now the bros have to meet her so they can take custody of her :)

John was worried about his mom, she still wasn’t back home tonight.
Grandma was here with them and while John liked having grandma take care of them, it just felt wrong for their mom to be absent from the pod and instead off on her tour around the tree. Now John knew that the tour was important for his mom and that it made her happy to perform for all the trolls with Trollstice coming again soon.
But the tour ended a week ago and she still wasn't home

John Dory's mom, Aster, the most famous popstar in the tree has been off on her tour for longer than how it usually was a year prior and John Dory being six can't help but sink deep into his thoughts of his mom being absent from his life for the first time.

Summary
World Tour gave us lore of how the 6 tribes lived in isolation until the events of the movie. But what if that wasn't the case? What if the isolation ended long before the movie started but there was no happy ending. Rock for decades have been trying to unite everyone prior to King Thrash's reign and now in the present the war between the musical tribes and Rock has been raging for so long. On the surface it seems as if Rock will win within a few years but things don't last.
This brings out one of Rock's Colony leaders, Jade, who once upon a time was named John Dory but now has forsaken his pop origin and seemingly loyal to Rock. But things are never simple, events begin to spiral out of control that would eventually lead to JD joining the resistance later on.
Political and historical complexities mixed with musical prejudices scar this world of trolls. Nothing is ever black and white.
John Dory and many others are caught up in the middle for the ending of this decades long conflict with Rock. Personal relationships are burned, new ones will be formed, and the past eventually will catch up to those who run.
One thing is clear though, every troll wants peace but at what cost is to be paid?
