Zane hid in the locker room bathroom stall. He shivered, gripping his hair and pushing his mask away from his face as he gasped for air. He didn't know why he even tried anymore. What was the point? No one liked him, no one would ever like him. Not even his dad liked him. So what made him think someone as cool as Gene would? How did he manage to delude himself into believing something like that?
His chest ached–and maybe it was the binder he's definitely been wearing for too long–as he tried to calm his breathing down.
