Summary
The great, cosmic muses inspired me to write this piece after I first finished watching The Falcon and the Winter Soldier mini-series on Disney Plus. Seeing how much justice Malcom Spellman and Kari Skogland had done for the two main characters with their writing and directing, I felt compelled to take a trip back in time to check in on Bucky Barnes between the events of Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Captain America: Civil War. Although it’s speculated that he was mostly just wandering about, trying to regain some sense of self, I believe that those two years were probably some of the loneliest and darkest that he’s ever experienced.
I realized that we don’t exactly know a whole lot about what the ex-HYDRA assassin was going through during that time, so I wanted to write a little story that might shed some light on the complex psychology of the very vulnerable, wounded side of Bucky Barnes that the Marvel Cinematic Universe hasn’t allowed for us to explore beyond mere speculation.Bookmarked by Gabrielle Lawson (Inheildi)
