Glinda shot her a glare over her shoulder. “And I’m stuck with a rude, green—person!” she huffed, spinning back to fuss with her skirt. “Honestly, why do I always get the short end of the stick?”
The woman smirked faintly, her eyes fluttering closed. “You don’t even know the half of it, princess.”
“Fine, then! You can bleed all by yourself because I’m not going to share my cell with-with—” Glinda sputtered, struggling to form a coherent thought to describe the woman in front of her.
“What happened? Run out of insults?” the woman rasped, trying to smirk through gritted teeth as she clutched her side. “Want me to help you?”

“What are you doing here?” Agatha snapped. “I told you I never wanted to see you again, didn’t I?”
Rio’s gaze dropped, her own face haunted. She glanced from Agatha to the grave. “I… came here for him,” she murmured, voice trembling.
“You came here for him?” Agatha repeated, her words laced with pain and disbelief. “You are the reason he’s gone, and you came here for him?”
Rio took a breath, her eyes misting as she held Agatha’s stare. “Agatha, please. Not today.”Or: Agatha and Rio meet on the anniversary of Nicky’s death throughout the years and despite their efforts to avoid each other, their pain only becomes deeper and deeper.

Elphaba wraps the scarf around Glinda's neck, looping it around at her throat and tucking it in. She’s close. Glinda can see each glinting freckle on her face. Their eyes meet, and Elphaba smiles.
“This is like how we met,” she says, indicating to her shawl.
Glinda feels a little breathless; she forces an easy smile. “You’re just returning the favour.”
“Except I’m not bringing you to life,” Elphaba points out.
But you are, in a way, Glinda thinks.
