Summary
The video begins with two men standing in the middle of a field, they look similar though dressed very differently. The younger man wears cut off jean shorts and a distressed band tee, the older a full threepiece suit.
“I’m Adam Savage, over there’s my brother without a cool name,” The brother sighs. Text shows up on the bottom of the screen contradicting the so-called Adam Savage. It identifies him as Kol and the man in the suit as Elijah.
“Today on Mythbusters we will be finding out if werewolves really do mindlessly attack all vampires when transformed or if that's an… old wolfs tale.”

Stefan shepherds Caroline away from Bonnie’s hand on her wrist. Away from the broken heart Bonnie is wearing on her sleeve for Caroline. Away from Elena and Damon too but that might be for the best. Someone with Elena’s face killed her and Damon said he was gonna do it again. Away from the dead body of the man she killed. Stefan takes her to the bathroom.
Caroline braces herself on the porcelain sink. Stefan pulls her hair out of her face. Caroline mutters to herself, “She hates me. Bonnie hates me.” The dead mans blood had tasted so good, and she was messy. Caroline's face is covered in blood, drying sticky and quick. -

He gets to the Gilbert house just in time to hear Kol’s scream. Klaus watches helplessly through the doorway of a house he cannot enter as his little brother's body burns. As Kol falls to the floor and does not get back up.
“What did you do?” Klaus snarls.
“We didn't have a choice. He was trying to cut off Jeremy's arm!” The doppelgangers voice is grating, her excuses for the smell of his brother’s burnt flesh negligible.
“Lies! He never would've gotten inside if you hadn't set a trap for him.”
“You said you were going to put him down too.”
Klaus is screaming now, “I was going to make him suffer on my terms!” He takes a breath. Assures himself of the other side and the witches he will extort for whatever favors he needs. “I'm going to burn this house to the ground. And then, when you try to flee for your lives, I'll kill you both without blinking.”

Neil wasn't surprised in the least to find a grown — but short — man laying down in the empty stall, not with the way Katana was dancin' in her own. He was, however, surprised to see the man was naked as the day he was born, and brandishing a hoof pick like a knife out in front of him. Pallid and sweating, he looked like he done fell face-down in a sticker patch and run over by cows. Neil stared at him, unbothered, and the man said raggedly, "Back the hell up. I will hurt you."
Neil snorted. "Not like that, you won't," he answered. "You mean to cause any trouble?" Neil asked him, eyeing him critically. "Or you just need some hair'a the dog 'fore I call someone to come collect your sorry ass?"
The man glared up at Neil, but Neil didn't back down. "I could stab you right now," the man threatened, but his tone was sullen, almost chastened. Neil snorted again and the man shifted and winced. "Just give me a minute," he said eventually.
"Sure," Neil nodded. "You take your time. But touch any of my critters or my kids, and I'll shoot you dead, you hear me?"

They're having breakfast when he tells them. He only remembers because he'd dreamed weird again last night. This time it was an older boy, who was trying to stop a little golden-haired baby from crying.
“What,” says Mom, in that flat voice she gets when she's trying not to sound surprised.
“...what?” says Dad, who clearly hadn't been listening. That's fine, Shane forgets to listen too, sometimes.
“I keep dreaming people I don't know,” Shane repeats patiently. He can be patient.
Shane Hollander habitually ends up in other people's dreams, which is fine. It's a family trait, on both sides, to slip into the dreams of the people you love. What's less fine is how Shane keeps dreaming strangers.
Or: like if a soulmates au took several detours.

Alaric smells like vervain when she’s too close to him. She keeps her distance, stands across the room in his apartment, across from him in the woods as she tries to teach him how to hunt. She steps away when he gets too close. Caroline thinks he might notice sometimes, he gets a look in his eyes that seems almost like an apology, but he never says anything out loud.
(Post S5. This is Caroline and Alaric gaining their footing on how to act around each other, trying to get over the last time she saw him alive, and the torture he put her through. Basically the summer they’ll never give us/the Caroline-Alaric screwed up dynamics they’ll never give us either.)
