This is the dirty lie of midge and lenny. It isn't what happened in history or in the show. But I don't care, this is how it should be. This is how they should be. Their friendship is everything and they are both so raw and flawed but I think the great thing about them is they keep showing up for each other and they push each other and they deserve happiness. And Luke Kirby is too beautiful to let him die in my mind.

Summary
A story in which Rook is too fast, and too reckless, and hopelessly in love. (Mostly) Canon-compliant chronological telling of Veilguard in vignettes, primarily focused around Emmrich-related quests, and building Rook into the man that falls for his necromancer.
Rook had never been afraid of falling.
Rook wasn’t sure what might suit him as well as a whitler’s haven suited Davrin, but he knew what was missing. Warmth. Given the choice, Rook would have surrounded himself in autumn tones, warm cherry woods and piles of cushions, and a fire place. What did it mean that the lighthouse seemed not to know him?
“It is a fine spot for contemplation.” Emmrich’s voice was one of few he was always glad to hear. It was unusual enough that he gave himself a moment to be calm, to breathe, and the company seemed a fine reward. “I do hope I’m not interrupting.”

Summary

However, this is made complicated when she screws up a major operation with the Antaam and ends up on a whirlwind adventure to save Thedas as “Rook.” On top of everything, her feelings for a certain handsome necromancer force her to confront her own emotions, her past, her present, her desires, and what role she wants to play in the life she has.
