She was only fifty seconds old when Lord Voldemort felt the mixture of satisfaction and damning guilt overcome him at what he assumed to be the final termination of a soul bound to him, dead eyes falling to the earth at his bare feet as if she’d come to her senses and was bowing to his reign.
He was wrong.

He never considered that his past would haunt him even more terrifyingly so than it already had.
But today, on October 31st, 2004, twenty-five years after the birth of the Mudblood, he knew he was wrong.
He never wanted to be more right, but he was wrong.
Lord Voldemort could not escape her. Even worse, he was no longer sure that he wanted to.
