But today, on October 31st, 2004, twenty-five years after the birth of the Mudblood, he knew he was wrong.
He never wanted to be more right, but he was wrong.

He was asking for a black-market piece without even a hint of subtlety, and that meant he was either assured of her compliance or was laying a careful trap. Perhaps both.
“And if I were to have discretion?” she asked.He paused, his gaze sweeping over her, a silent, meticulous inventory that summarized and neatly footnoted her before she could bristle at the implied assessment. A flicker of satisfied intellectual curiosity softened the hard line of his mouth. “I am confident,” he said, “that we will find much to discuss.”
