Everyone in the boardroom let out a collective breath.
“His internal body temperature dropped to 31℃ during the second simulation. Why didn’t we pull him out? Why didn’t the simulation replicate his hypothermia properly?” Akiyama demanded.
“I tried to pull him out. He ignored the ejection recommendation, and then the third sim didn’t make him use his quirk,” Mori said.
“So you kept him in because his temperature stopped dropping?” Akiyama asked, eyes blazing.
Mori winced.
“The hypothermia not being properly represented was likely my fault—” Asano started.
Kusuriya cut her off. “No, it wasn’t. We all listened the interview. He said he ‘felt cold’ when he used his quirk, not that he literally experienced hypothermia.”
“He likely pushed himself too far because he wasn’t getting the proper signals to his body,” Komatsu said.
Akiyama sighed. “I don’t think so. He did the exact same thing during the CTAT. He’s willing to light himself on fire to keep other people warm.”
“I’ll send him the email for Phase Three. But someone needs to get this kid a therapist.”Series

“You are grounded!” Hizashi scolded.
Izuku pouted. “Mama,” he whined, giving Hizashi the biggest, puppy-est eyes of his life.
Hizashi stood firm. “No. No, that will not work on me, young man. You ran the obstacle course from its frame, which was at least four meters in the air, then jumped from said frame to a wall, and then you sassed Endeavor! The number two hero!”
Izuku crossed his arms. “He was being an asshole.”
“Language,” Shouta scolded from the other side of the room, which fell flat considering the grin he wore. “It was pretty great to watch, though.”
“No!” Hizashi screeched. “You’re both grounded! You’re all grounded!”
“Hey, I didn’t do shit!” Katsuki complained.OR, Izuku has a raccoon quirk, two dads, and a lot of sass.

He opened up his dinky, hand-me-down laptop and pulled up UA’s website. He hesitated as his mouse hovered on the courses tab, his eyes drawn to the word Hero, but swallowed the pain and clicked on Support instead.
The first thing to load was a picture of this year’s third year class. They stood in a lab, all in various stages of disarray- one boy had a smear of oil across his forehead, like someone had decided to reenact The Lion King, another girl was actively putting a small fire out, and the teacher- THE Power Loader- was the most normal looking person there, even in his massive support gear and his tiny frame, smiling at the camera fondly like he was saying, “Yeah, this is chaos. What are you gonna do about it?”
He scrolled down to the About section, which described their different specializations; Equipment, Design, and Analysis.
His mouse moved on its own, and clicked the tab.
As he skimmed through the information, his eyes got wider and wider.
His mom was right. This was his golden ticket into UA.

He had noticed the signs of Akihiko’s fatigue three levels ago- the way Akihiko’s hand kept drifting to his solar plexus like he was having a hard time catching his breath, the fact that he wasn’t dancing around hits with as much enthusiasm, and the fact that he had started lagging behind the team by just a hair, instead of walking directly next to Minato like normal.
Minato had brushed it off, though, more or less content to just keep an eye on him and trust that he’d say something when he got too tired to continue.
