For example, Robert’s still got this tendency to catastrophize even when the sun is shining, the birds are singing, and nobody’s actively dying. That particularly breed of depressive anxiety kicked in after his father died, and something tells him that it won’t be going away any time soon.
It's something that not even the afterimage of Stroud in handcuffs, beaten within an inch of his life, can fix.
