Summary
Tension between heroes and villains has escalated past simple, uncoordinated clashes. Each side has become more organized, more desperate to be the ultimate victor. Heroic courses now start in middle school; children with strong and powerful quirks placed on a list in order to be groomed before villains can groom them first. Villains have rallied under One for All, no longer disordered and scattered throughout Japan. As a result, One for All is a name passed around through hushed whispers, sowing fear in the hearts of all. However, this rise to the public eye has also helped the heroes. Citizens, concerned for their lives and others, look desperately to the heroes to defeat the man who severely injured the number one hero, All Might. There are a few that push back against this government incursion, but they are ignored and silenced as the citizens of Japan lap up the black and white propaganda that the hero commission puts out: villains are bad, heroes are good. But many reside in the grey area between. Izuku Midoriya is one of these residents, stolen as a child and forced to be a villain due to his powerful quirk. After years of this, he’s had enough of both heroes and villains, and intends to do something about it.

Even now, these people wanted to make sure that Izuku was reminded that he was only playing the part of a hero, not actually being one. Izuku wasn't allowed access to heroism. Izuku was only an asset. A pawn. A tool for the Commission to use and abuse with no consequence to themselves.
Breathe in. Hold for Four. Breathe Out.

Summary
“It’s already a fucking miracle you’re not in juvie while being charged with murder—” Izuku flinches “—you can’t afford to slip up.” Mr. Aizawa’s tone is harsh as they slow, his dark eyes resting heavily on him. “Do you understand?”
Izuku nods, whispering a small, “Sorry.”
Mr. Aizawa glares at him, tugging him along, like he doesn’t believe him. “Stop being sorry and just follow the rules.”
Izuku isn’t going to juvie. They said he’s different – doesn’t matter that he’s killed someone, the police is worried about a quirkless child being around other ‘troubled’ kids.
Now this Mr. Aizawa is stuck with him until his trial, and Izuku’s completely, a hundred percent certain that the man absolutely hates him.
Unbeknownst to them, someone is watching from the shadows...

How do you flip a hero-loving society on its head? By breaking the illusion.
The Illusion that heroes are untouchable, all-mighty beings that could do no wrong, that they're always there to save the day, and that they put the people's safety first.
You have to strip them down to their most primal forms, tear away the vestiges of their humanity, and only then will the world see their true nature.
And who better to start the process than an up-and-coming hero-hopeful?
