    The eighth year fic where Draco’s writing a paper about “heroes in Muggle literature” and Harry gets him reading superhero comics instead of Austen and Bronte. Hilarious and conversational. An opening that’s quintessential “Harry Potter is Obsessed with Draco Malfoy” (and which goes on for several paragraphs of Harry-in-denial trying to rationalize his “noticing”):

    “The trouble was that Harry had started noticing and now it seemed he couldn’t stop. Everywhere he looked, there was Malfoy. (Well, not everywhere. Sometimes he had to go a little bit out of his way, but then, bam, there he was.)”

    The one where Harry’s overseeing construction of the Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes amusement park and Honeydukes candy inventor Draco gets assigned to design custom confections. Lighthearted, cheerful and engaging; very well written.

    A Draco who’s both pining and oblivious; a thoroughly smitten (and self-aware) Harry; amused and supportive friends. A decent amount of breathless, flustered Draco, who’s utterly bewildered as to why for quite some time; his realization that he’s fancied Harry for years is deeply amusing and delightful. Also feat. friendly Harry; ridiculous, awkward Draco; a dash of powerful Harry; mutually smitten idiots in love.

    Sweet and heartwarming. The one where Draco owns a coffee shop with snarky, judgmental portraits and experiments with potion-augmented coffee, and suspicious, obsessed Harry is convinced that he’s Up To Something. Also the one where Auror Harry spent an inordinate amount of time in the 5 years after the war following rumors of Draco’s supposed international shenanigans in the papers, but couldn’t persuade his superiors (or his friends) of his conviction that Draco was Up To Something. Enemies to friends to lovers; emotionally oblivious Harry who becomes a tester for Draco’s in-progress coffee potions (ostensibly to figure out what he’s Up To, because Harry is emotionally oblivious) and goes from suspicious to fond to smitten; feelings realization over Amortentia; a bit of pining; first kiss and getting together.

    Charming and funny. Herbologist Neville runs a shop; potioneer Draco visits for supplies for his job at St. Mungo’s, Auror Harry visits for tea breaks, and they’re a pair of mutually pining idiots. Neville despairs, Luna meddles, Draco is extremely dramatic and ridiculous. The one with dinner for four in the greenhouse; also the one where Draco’s response to Harry (finally) asking him out is awkward silence followed by fleeing, then returning the next week with a courtship peacock; hospital bedside scene at the end where we learn that Harry’s been doing all his Draco-crush-related drama at Pansy and Blaise.
