tbh I don't really know what Im doing, and probably should have started with a one-shot, this is my first fic *yaaayy*
also i have no trust in my summaries But I'll try:Yena's life started out Great!.... key word here is ,"started". After going through so many things that someone her age wouldn't even experience in their nightmares, she escapes, closing her heart off to everyone, but ESPECIALLY to adults. There's no way a chaotic group of children in the form of adults could worm their way in.... Right?

Summary
A small part of him felt cheated, in a way. This was supposed to be his success. Astrid was definitely learning from his friendship with Toothless, so all of the praise she was getting was supposed to be his. He was the one learning about dragons, and he would have used all this knowledge to get their training sessions as short as possible if it wasn’t for Astrid constantly beating him to it.
But a much more prominent part of him figured this was better. He didn’t want the glory anymore. He didn’t want anyone to think he was a dragon killer prodigy. He didn’t want people to swarm him now that he was finally hanging out with a friend who actually liked Hiccup for who he was, not demanding he changed in the least. Toothless was much better company than the Vikings of Berk.
