This is the part where Noah is supposed to get it. The part where he’s supposed to understand the depth of what Mirage has just told him, where he realizes the danger he’s in if Mirage so much as simply moves wrong at the wrong moment, the moment where he lets go and never comes near him again. He waits; waits for it all to click into place in that biological processor of his, waits for the moment he pulls his hands back to himself, waits for his face to morph into entirely justified fear.
“I could break you, Noah, I could…”
He’s not prepared for Noah’s expression to go soft.
There's only one way for someone to learn how much strength to use when handling something, and that's through experience.

Elements of reincarnation, holoform shenanigans, Dadwave, in-depth but incredibly natural world building, and impressive attention to detail in characterization and tone. Follows TC, Jazz, Soundwave, and others searching for reignited sparks of loved ones on Earth. Issue is, sparkbond proved that, where once stood an unpredictable and ornery seeker now stands a human gun-for-hire with no memory of his former self.

Great geopolitical worldbuilding, tackles ethical dilemma of Cybertronians converting spark-carrying humans into sparklings as a means of reproduction due to the destruction of the AllSpark. Operating under the guise of benevolent saviors to the globally-collapsed human society, a cast of characters from a wide pool of continuities go through some really traumatic, fascinating, and fluffy shenanigans. Love the psychology in this too. Ongoing. Updates regularly.

Really cute series using the concept of “what if Knock Out and Breakdown weren’t caught up in the war” and putting a new spin on it, including but absolutely not limited to: trying really hard to be human, mechanic shops, speeding tickets, dancing (well and poorly), surprise adoptions, and, of course, two gay aliens falling in love.
Phenomenal characterization. Loved how distinct everyone’s voices were, and June being a friend and support for Breakdown warmed my heart so very much—their friendship is so important to me! And Miko’s story was handled with a care and groundedness deserved.
Oh! And, of course, the holoform designs for both “Aston Martin” (Knock Out) and “Blake Downey” (Breakdown) were unique and incredibly inspired. I especially love the idea of Knock Out having vitiligo, including a large lighter patch on his face, mimicking the white of his root form faceplate. (Also KO drawn as a POC was something I was super excited to see!)
Breakdown’s design translated so well to me—looking at him, I can tell so much about who he is. The descriptions in the fics do great justice to his body language; the way he closes himself off, tries to take up less space, and makes certain to move slowly, gently? That’s it. That’s Breakdown.
This series makes me want to draw them so much!! If I do end up following through, you betcha I’ll be tagging More Days to Come; New Places to Go as inspiration

Summary
There was a deep, unsettling wrongness that Knockout just couldn’t shake, no matter how hard he tried. It crept into his spark, keeping him restless, making him wake up in the middle of the night just to check if Breakdown was still there. He knows it's stupid. At first, he brushed it off—he wasn’t the type to believe in gut feelings. But as the days passed, the unease only grew, making him question things he never had before. Making him think about Breakdown, about a safer future.
To his surprise, on a quiet night drive beneath Jasper’s streetlights, a conversation with someone unexpected made him pause.
Made him wonder. Was he on the right side of this war…can he keep Breakdown safe?Or was there still time to change their fate?

FANTASTIC first chapter, in love with the way Breakdown is characterized here, and I related to Knockout on such a deep and personal level as someone who has also been ‘stuck.’ Beautiful writing style, will be keeping an eye on this one
