Sixty seconds.
His breath catches and his heart hammers, scalp prickling with the beginnings of anxiety. His phone vibrates, probably another alarm reminding him that he will actually be late if he doesn’t leave now. His wrist is aching now, fingers curled around it as he counts down the seconds in his head.
At 25 seconds he can’t seem to see a single person who may or may not be his soulmate, and tries to ignore the painful lurch his heart gives at the thought.

Butterflies. A stampede of elephants. A literal whole ass zoo. Jungkook’s heart beats like a hummingbird, quick and fluttering and so loud he’s sure the entire neighbourhood can hear it. His chest feels tight with emotion, and the stray (let’s be honest, it’s been recurring since that day) thought comes slamming back into his entire being.
