"You don't look ready for shore leave," a voice said. He looked up from his PADD instructions: Beckett Mariner, out of uniform. She was not in her workout gear that she tended to favor in their off hours.

A chappie having the physical prowess to back up his noble intentions was more or less superficial, if that's the word I mean. Superfluous? The physicality of it doesn't matter much to anyone at all. It's not the physical gifts but the metaphysical thought that counts, what?
