The hobbits would have no chance against such a disaster, and any who survived would likely never recover. She couldn’t imagine the strength and sheer stubbornness required to survive the devastation of a dragon’s attack and subsequent exile. And to want to go back! To face the beast that stole so much, destroyed so much, for just the chance to restore what was lost…

Summary
Four little hobbits went Adventuring. Bilba Baggins, sent to bring them back, found four little hobbit birds instead. Transformed along with a pair of dwarves by a batty wizard, their only hope is a spell that hasn't been performed in an Age. Bilba is a Baggins, which means Responsibility--and if traveling across Middle-Earth, dealing with ridiculously overprotective elves, and outsmarting a nutty king is what it takes, then that is simply what she'll have to do.
But goodness, she really could have done without this irritating dwarf prince!

Summary
The Line of Durin fell, and Bilba Baggins felt as if she fell along with them.
Unable to find peace upon returning to the Shire, she takes to the road and spends her life alone, fighting to protect the weak, training in futility to fight a battle long since won, and to save those long since buried under stone.
Her road is a lonely one, but one she feels she deserves for her failures to save the ones she loved.
The One, she loved.
She once thought she would find peace in death, and in the hope of seeing those she loved in the afterlife, but it seems even that is to be denied her, for as her eyes close in death, they open again - to find herself back in Bag End.
And the date on the calendar is the day a wizard once appeared, and asked her to join in on an adventure.

Summary
From a prompt, but the requester didn't like what I wrote. So, here's just a story then:
Years before the company arrived at Billa's doorstep, she met and married a dwarf. They were so happy and had a beautiful son together, but tragedy struck and took her beloved husband and son away. Years later, Thorin and company arrive and for the first time in years, Billa feels whole again.
So, without them knowing her past, she follows them on their quest.

When Gandalf had told them Bilbo Baggins had been killed by an Orc in the Battle of the Five Armies, twelve hearts broke and one shattered entirely.
Months later and hundreds of miles away, entirely unaware of any of this, Bilbo Baggins was trying to pick up the pieces of her life and rebuild after being labelled a traitor and exiled from the Lonely Mountain by the Dwarf she loved.

Summary
After the fall of Erebor and the tragedy of Azanulbizar, many dwarves have come to hate the line of Durin. After losing his grandfather, father, and siblings, all Thorin has left is his nephews, who are no more than toddlers. When the meddling wizard Gandalf comes to the rescue, he takes Thorin and his boys onto the backs of Eagles to a place far to the west, in a dainty place called the Shire. He leaves the line of Durin in the caring hands of Bilba Baggins, who has never had the heart to leave home since her mother's death.
The strong, nurturing Hobbit and the pained, stubborn Dwarf are stuck with each other, raising two boys in the curious and not always kind eyes of the Shire.tl;dr, Thorin and baby Durins go to Shire, fem!Bilbo is caring BAMF. Bring it on Lobelia.

Erebor's time has finally come, now that Thorin has gathered together enough loyal Dwarves to make it to the Lonely Mountain alive. Dwalin just wishes they weren't a cursed number.

The Wilds are no place for a half-starved, girl-child gentleHobbit who can neither fight nor fend for herself.Belda's time to escape has finally come, now that she's managed to convince (read: emotionally blackmail) Gandalf into agreeing to let her come on the quest thingy he seems to be on, as well as convince the annoyingly bull-headed leader of the Dwarven pack to let her join them until Rivendell, at least. She only hopes she can earn their respect.
Especially his second-in-command.
Oh, and that they won't kill her when they find out the truth. She might not be their Burglar yet, but she regrets lying to them anyway.

Armed with a sharp tongue, handkerchiefs, and the exasperation of a grandmother wrangling a bunch of overgrown, bearded children, Bilba is determined to do things her way. Even if that means scolding dwarves, outmaneuvering Thranduil, and figuring out just what is going on with this new, stranger version of Middle-earth.
Because if she has to do this all over again, she’s going to do it right.
