“Do what?” is his soft reply, even though she’s sure he knows what she’s talking about.
She clarifies anyway. “How do you keep going when… when you know you’re the last one left? When everyone else… everyone else is…?”
He gives her a sad, knowing smile. His eyes sparkle with unshed emotions, and they are deep and fathomless and yet still human enough for Natasha to see herself in them. “You keep on going,” he tells her (and she knows, with that look on his face, that he’s speaking from experience), “because you know it’s what they’d want you to do.”

Summary
Link isn't completely unfamiliar with burnout. He knows what can cause it, and he knows the effects it can have on the human body. He also knows that he's been running on empty ever since he saw Zelda fall into a chasm. But the war is over, and Zelda and their friends are safe. So why does Link feel like death warmed over? Actually, he'd probably prefer death to whatever this is, as someone who's so used to dying in increasingly horrific ways. But he's sure it's fine. What's the worst that could happen anyway?
OR
Link suffers the consequences of his actions, and gets a number of traumatizing memories along the way. Good thing he has people looking out for him now though, right?

He shakes his head. It’s nice of Jester to offer, but there is no spell in the world that could fix what is wrong with him. He’d know. Magic is kind of his thing.
