Summary
Everyone and their mother knows that suppressants aren’t foolproof. They’re not a one size fits all like the pharmaceutical companies tout them to be. Some meds are better for omegas than others, but price and availability limits their usage. It’s a whole thing that Robert has learned to live with.
So, when one of the members of Z-Team is going into a rut because of a mysterious drug, the suppressants aren't as effective as they should be. Robert decides to hole up for a day in hopes he’s only going into pre-heat and not a full blown heat.
What he gets is help from an alpha that he never expected.

Summary
In his sleep, Robert appears- for once in his life- like he’s not stressed to hell and back. The frown lines on his forehead are smooth and lax, and even the exhausted bruises that paint the skin below his eyes a sickly purple seem diminished in the soothing glow of Chad’s bedside lamp. He’s still scruffy and unfortunately clothed in that hideous uniform, but all that does is add to the reality of Robert being here, safe and comfortable in Chad’s bed.
Without even realizing he’s doing it, Chad reaches out and smooths his hand over the messy puff of Robert’s hair. The other man hums quietly and turns towards the warmth of his palm, and Chad flinches back like he’s somehow, impossibly, been burned. Robert’s face creases into that oh-so familiar frown as if Chad’s touch was wanted in the first place, and a spike of longing spears through him.

Following Viago's particular modus operandi, Lucanis plays the part of Viago's lover while they hunt for their target inside the Winter Palace.
Lucanis groans. “Always with the concoctions. What kind of assassin does not even touch a dagger?”
“The master poisoner kind. Besides…” Viago adjusts his glove and pushes past Lucanis, toward the ballroom. “I despise daggers.”
Lucanis stops and stares at Viago’s back, mouth agape at the absence of a witty reply. When Viago reaches the room's entrance, he turns and lifts his arm as one would for a partner, raising a disapproving brow at Lucanis. “Collect your jaw. We have an entrance to make.”
