Summary
Months ago, Alastor had dragged Vox to the Hazbin Hotel after a violent fight with Val left him beat up and discarded.
Vox was only supposed to stay at the hotel for a short period time—just enough time for him to heal and let Val cool off. Instead, he's lingered.
Something is broken inside of him. His coding is full errors. He's an emotional wreck living constantly on the brink of exhaustion. Alastor is there to help him, but Vox wrestles with his pride every time Alastor shows him a shred of mercy.
It doesn't help that he still carries a torch for Alastor, and that Alastor is currently dating the King of Hell and First Man.

Alastor was enjoying a lovely evening stroll in the rain when he witnesses a near collision course between a driver and enormous man fleeing from a smaller man.
The smaller man looks familiar, and the driver is his former best friend Vox.
As Vox gets out of his car to berate the giant man for running into the street, Alastor feels the hot prickling sensation of a soul mark form on his chest—a mark that only appears when all soul mates meet.
How exquisitely ironic. Alastor never wanted a soul mate and now he has three.
