Vox snorted, shaking his head. "Well, good luck talkin' to people all morning. I'm gonna be here alone all day, workin' on a new design for-- Would you quit that?"
Alastor hummed, knees dislocated so he could rest his chin on the bottoms of his hooves. "I haven't the foggiest idea what you could be referring to!" Alastor's knees cracked as they were put back into place, and he folded himself in half at the hips so he could turn his head 180° to stare straight up at Vox.
"You're so fuckin' weird."

Trying to be a gentleman (Alastor likes those, right?) Vox keeps his hands to himself around his lover, even if it feels like he’s literally going to die from the aching want burning inside of him. Alastor just wants Vox to fuck him already, because this is starting to get rather frustrating.

Summary
About a month after Vox's failed takeover of Heaven, Baxter drags in his dismembered body through the hotel lounge. The sight leaves Alastor to wonder what has become of Vox, so he gets an idea and decides to pay him a visit. The two strike a deal, and now Vox has his body back, but he is stuck at the hotel, and Alastor gets to bask in his humiliation. Vox slowly realises something is going on behind the front. Alastor puts on, and what was once an unrequited love on Vox's end might not be so unrequited anymore.

Vox regrets making a deal with Alastor at first, and somehow, things start looking up for the two of them.

After a box of memento's end up at his door, Alastor realizes how little he understood his former best friend. Following the clue's left behind, he searches for the answers why his death bother's him so much and begins the non-linear journey of grief. As he find's... there's a skeleton in Vox's closet that sheds a whole new light on a man he swore he knew everything about.
Meanwhile the memories of their decades spent together come to mind. From their first meeting, to the developing relationship that changes from protégé, to friend, to something that could not be quite defined as lover or friend. Their once flourishing friendship warping into codependency that eventually leads to their violent falling out.

Vox thinks he had been awake for a while. Had been listening, maybe, or just being. He didn’t remember what he had heard, what he had seen. Knew he had heard something. Val was yelling–rage and malice and everything supposedly wrong with him lacing his voice. He was shrieking and screaming, probably. His face was contorted, eyes narrowed into slits, sharp teeth glinting as he spat off every hurtful thing his mind would supply him with. His eyes were wet and glistening except no–that wasn’t right. Val doesn’t cry. So why was Vox hearing wet sobs escape him, unbefitting of the fantasy Vox had created in his half-conscious head?
And now words drifted in, muffled still like the water Vox couldn’t touch. And another voice filtered in and why was Vox so hurt by its tone? She was judging, hateful too. Her voice was sharp at the edges, thin and deadly except no–that wasn’t true either. Her voice was soft, and why was that worse?UHm Trigger warning for.. Sadness. Kind of just a lot of sadness. Alastor makes his living through investments, the trade market, forging deals with powerful people and selling goods. On a warm summer's day, he stumbles on a rare mermaid who has been caught by sailors and is now waiting to be auctioned. He's gorgeous; his tail a stark, vivid red more enrapturing than a blood moon with pearly white fins adorning it from the sides like ethereal ghosts; even beaten down the fervid fire in his eyes burns into Alastor's very soul. Unable to tear his gaze away, Alastor buys him. Dealing with mermaids was a dangerous job, one Alastor was well versed in, never having had any proclivity for love or sex which is how he had earned his great success, fortune and reputation. No mermaid can tempt him to his demise with their song.
He could never have known that with this one decision his entire life would be flipped. Feelings that have always lurked beneath the surface arise as an old friend gets pulled into the scheme.

Being a new overlord, Serika wants to make an impression and goes to the most dangerous of the bunch in a try to bond over a common enemy. Vincent has made a mistake. A big mistake. He's running as fast as he can, still holding onto that tiny hope that maybe maybe he can escape. Maybe, just maybe, Alastor will let him go.
A black tendril curls around his leg and pulls. Vincent panics as he falls— only to have large clawed hands wrap swiftly around his waist, he's pulled back with effortless strength and spun back into Alastor's arms. Vincent is pressed into a broad chest, he can faintly feel vermilion claws graze his hips almost warningly.
"You know all I do is to protect you."
In which, Vox takes the hit for Alastor during his battle with Adam and dies. Consumed by madness and the realization that he did care for Vox, Alastor follows him into death—only to awaken decades earlier, at the exact moment Vox first falls into Hell as a new sinner. Armed with the knowledge of everything that will come to pass, Alastor seizes the chance to take the newly fallen Vox under his wing… and change their future.
