Summary
Charlie is a 28 year old detective.

Summary
Nick rested his forehead against Charlie’s, gently bumping their noses together. Charlie moved his hand between their chests and quickly snapped his fingers, his face appearing out of the darkness, cast in a flickering, golden glow. Nick glanced down in surprise to see a tiny flame dancing around in Charlie’s palm.
“Besides Tori, you’re the only other person in this world that I trust with my life. I trust that when we’re together, that you’ll keep me safe. So far, you’ve done nothing to prove me wrong. I wanted to tell you about this, I didn’t because… the last person that found out I had magic… it didn’t end well.”
“Your parents.” He said quietly, watching as the flame wove its way through Charlie’s fingers as they flexed. “They found out about your magic, didn’t they?”
“Sort of,” Charlie admitted, “Mum found out that Tori had magic, and you kind of know what happened after that. But, I remember just being so upset, and everything was coming to a head, so I made her rosary explode. And then we were running.”

Charlie was a baker. A contestant on the show he had just been hired to present for. Charlie was smart. A PhD, smart. He was cool, too. Black ripped jeans, Doc Martens, and an oversized wool jumper. Charlie was also beautiful. Long, dark curls, striking blue eyes, dimples, a ridiculously sexy silver hoop on his right ear.
This was exactly what Nick wasn’t supposed to do. You weren’t supposed to fall for contestants on the show you were hosting. That was, without a doubt, completely unprofessional.
