Summary
When Beau gets an unexpected call from her mother, she finds herself desperate for a getaway from the pressures of life in the city. With Caleb in the driver seat beside her, the two find themselves at a charming farmhouse called the Blooming Grove. The caretaker is delightfully odd but his tea is always warm and Beau is ready to settle in. However, after a mysterious woman stumbles onto their porch in the middle of a storm, Beau's vacation may not be as restful as she'd hoped.

She started tracing the beautiful tattoo on Yasha left arm, flowers and vines surrounding a name reminiscent of past times and heartbreak, but she stoped just below her elbow. She never went further almost as if that would mean intruding in something too intimate and distant for her to even try. There on Yasha’s porcelain skin right below her elbow was a birth mark now surrounded and embedded into her tattoo. The mark was quite small and had an odd shape, almost like a flower, and it was her mark. The mark. The mark showing who she belonged to, who her soulmate was, the person meant for her.

Summary
Running with the Nein was easier for both of them in some ways, but for Beau especially there's a sense of loss that comes sometimes from trading the ability for direct action for the more regimented and subtle dealings of the Soul when it comes to corruption. Beau's not always good at looking out for her own well-being either, but she's getting better.
