Summary
The man blinked slowly, like someone trying to make sense of a particularly loud bird. “Hmm. Can I help you?”
Louis threw his hands up. “Yes, you bloody can! Listen, Curly—some of us are trying to sleep! It’s two in the morning, not an audition for the tragic ghosts of the Philharmonic!”
The man’s brows lifted, mildly.
Louis kept going, because apparently he couldn’t stop now. “So unless you’re planning to serenade the moon to death, could you maybe take your sad piano concerto to, I don’t know—someone’s basement? Preferably one without neighbors, or better yet, cows.”
The man looked at him, head tilted slightly, curls falling into his eyes, a faint smile tugging at his lips.
“You think cows like Chopin?”
Or- Louis is a vampire who wants three things: silence, blood bags, and the sweet release of eternal indifference.
Enter Harry — his new neighbor who wears silk robes, flirts with delivery men, and plays piano at 2 a.m. like he’s auditioning for Vampire Idol.
They should hate each other. Instead, they fall in love.
Or- A vampire rom-com about eternal life, emotional repression, and one neighbor who won’t stop being gorgeous and loud about it.

Summary
Louis was the first one down the row for their group. If he hadn’t been they would have never met.
He was turned around, walking backwards and saying to Liam, “No, I’ll get you to a real footie match next,” when he bumped into someone.
“Oops,” Louis laughed, tripping over his own feet. A hand curled around his upper arm as he nearly fell over the seat in front of him. “Sorry about that, mate.”
He turned around, still teetering in his vans, to apologize again, but the words dried in his throat. Another hand gripped his other elbow, steadying him, but all Louis could see were green eyes and dimples.
“Hi,” the man laughed, a bright, bubbling sound. “Are you okay?”
Or Louis is in his first year of law school, Harry is a junior on the swim team dreaming of the Olympics, and they both agree that they don't have time for anything more than friends with benefits... right?

Summary
Harry’s trying to have a conversation with Nick, who he hasn’t seen in nearly three months, but the way Nick’s eyes keep darting over his shoulder every few seconds is quite distracting.
It’s ironic, because at least a quarter of the reason that he’s even talking to Nick in the first place is because he needs a distraction. He’s all too aware of exactly what’s going on behind his back.
Nick is the one who finally brings it up. “Do you think he’s doing it to spite you?”
“He’s definitely doing it to spite me,” Harry answers tightly, resisting the urge to crane his neck around so he can see. He clutches his drink a little tighter, trying to keep his tenuous control over his own movements.

Summary
Four years was a long time to mend a broken heart, but the cracks still lingered, blood spilling out every so often before Louis patched it up again with trembling fingers and a bone-deep ache.
He had learned to not let some other person become his priority, but once in a while, in the dead of the night, his heart called out to its missing piece. Those nights, Louis let himself feel the pain and the agony of being left behind, of not receiving a chance to even know that person's name. It reminded him to never let another person close, never let someone hold his fragile heart.
In the morning, he would again wear the façade of brevity with a well practiced ease.
Four years was a long time for the mind to change its thinking, even with a bleeding heart.
