“ You stink,” Tommy shoots back.Set between scenes in ch. 6 of the centre cannot hold. Technoblade forces dirty apocalypse orphan Tommy to take a bath, and helps him with his hair.

Summary
Hope used to be a thing burning bright and brilliant in his chest, lighting up everything around him. He used to be sure that if he kept the fire blazing, worked hard enough, kept believing and hoping and wishing, that it would all come true.
He doesn’t hope for much now. He hopes to find just a few more cans of food, hopes for an out-of-the-way place to sleep, hopes not to run into anyone he can’t scare off with the cricket bat strapped to his backpack.
There’s not much room for hope at the end of the world—the only thing there’s room for is survival. Hoping that this shopping mall hasn’t been too badly looted is about as hopeful as Wilbur lets himself get these days.
Or, Wilbur and Tommy have been surviving together since the world ended. Technoblade has been surviving all on his own.

With his wrist braced against the steering wheel, Dream turned to look at Tommy. His cool eyes were piercing. They pinned Tommy to where he sat.
“You know I love you, Tommy.”
Tommy felt very small. “I know.”
“I only want what’s best for you. No one loves you as much as I do.”
“I know.” He knew how hard Dream worked, how much he sacrificed for him, and he was grateful. “I know,” he repeated, a little more firmly this time. “I promise.”
“Good.” Dream didn’t quite sound satisfied, but he jerked his head towards the house anyway. “Get inside.”
Or, Tommy thinks he knows what love is. Then he encounters the Crafts and everything he knows about love is turned on its head.

Yes. Wilbur had to bite his tongue to keep the answer from spilling out of his mouth, because yes he wanted more. Of course he wanted more. He wanted to be more than the bastard prince. He wanted to be more than a mistake his mother made before she married Tommy’s father.
But that wasn’t the role he had been cast for in his life.
“It doesn’t matter,” Wilbur said instead. “When Tommy turns eighteen he’ll be crowned King, and I will be his advisor. He’ll be a good king, I’ll make sure of it.”
or, as the bastard prince of the planet of Eldingvegr, Wilbur has always known he was never meant for greatness. That was his younger brother's destiny. Wilbur's job was simply to try and make sure Tommy could fulfill that destiny.
That becomes decidedly more difficult when the brothers are betrayed, and are forced to flee their home planet. With the Essempi Empire being one of the largest imperial powers in the universe, the only place that can offer them refuge from Emperor Dream is Zephys IV—capital planet of the Antarctic Empire, ruled by the ruthless Emperor Philza.

"Man, I don't have the energy for this." Wilbur complained, reaching up to pull the light bulb chain and illuminate the kid passed out in the middle of his stock room.
He was young. Fluffy blonde hair and a ratty old hoodie. There were magic aftershocks running up and down his limbs, starting and ending at his core, by his heart.
That shit was dangerous. Whatever this kid had been doing, it could've killed him. It still might. For a minute, Wilbur wrestled with his morals, but he knew it was useless. He was going to help this idiot at two in the morning after his mother's funeral.
