Summary
In the 1890s, deep in the hills and hollers of Appalachia, hardship has made Cora cautious and fierce. As the world changes around her, she and her kin discover a strange, disabled creature in the woods and take it hostage, unsure whether it’s a threat or a gift. The creature quickly becomes entangled in their lives, only for violence to tear Cora's family apart, sending them on an unexpected journey across the mountains. Now, the creature faces its greatest challenge: protecting the humans it has claimed as its own and finding its way back home.

Summary
Five years ish, post-canon. Their log-pose led them to a serene, yet wild, island in some corner of the New World. Upon disembarking the Victoria Punk, everyone from the Captain through the crew starts acting strange, saying things they'd normally never say, or think. All - except Pascha. No one remembers her, or really cares about why she's there with them on the island. But Pascha cares, and she's gonna make her crew care again, too.

You've lived with Elder Ta'dana on Yautja Prime since you can remember, apprenticed under her to become the only human to learn the secrets of forging the alloy d'lex. Another clan wants that knowledge, so what better way to acquire it than to send the heir of the clan to partake in the Summer Celebrations.~
Ta'dana watches his sole eye flick over to where her human forge master hammers away at a piece of d'lex. She watches as his stance changes, something stubborn setting in his shoulders and the way his mandibles tighten, brow furrowed.
“You want her.”
It is a statement, not a question, but Vek'ra nods anyway, hands twitching at the sides.
“Sei-i, Elder. And I plan to prove myself to her,” he rumbles and then cuts his eye back to the imposing female, “to you as well, if I must.”
