oct25/ just re-read this, and ugh it's so good. it's a different snape than we usually see in fanfic, and i absolutely love him. a broken, bitter, scared, angry man, but with a heart burried deep down there somewhere. i think book snape really shines through here. got aspects of a character study. and the writing is really great! i think everything that happens storywise, as well as everything that happens in snape's and harry's heads is all described so well.
