Summary
Lan Qiren was an overworked history professor who quite literally worked himself to death only to awaken inside the very history book he’d been studying: The Downfall Of The Qishan Wen Clan. He had transmigrated to a time when cultivation still existed, when Wen Ruohan had not yet become a tyrant and, most importantly, into the body of none other than Lan Qiren himself.
Adhering strictly to the rules of the cultivation world, Lan Qiren lived quietly until, in one night hunt, a strange system suddenly appeared in his mind, claiming it could return him to the modern world. Seizing the chance, he punches the heir of the Wen Clan mid-battle while the other was preoccupied as a way of letting him pay for the future atrocities.
But when the system failed to transport him back, he found himself face-to-face with a strangely composed Wen Ruohan and his unreadable expression, his eyes far too calm.
