Summary
All her life Chloé has yearned for her mother attention, her approval, her love. Audrey’s visit for the Gabriel Fashion Show was supposed to be her chance to win her approval, but it was a disaster from the moment her mother stepped off the helicopter, and all Chloé can do is keep dancing in her shadow for the smallest sliver of approval while the people who care about her the most watch on in fear and concern.

Marinette knew magic existed - the tiny fairy/god creature who transformed her into a superhero was proof enough of that - but she never really thought of the magic that existed in the rest of the world, magic that had nothing to do with the Miraculous.
At least not until it tried to kill her after she literally walked right into it.
As it turns out, Magical Girls are just as real as Super Heroes, girls who willing joined a secret war against Witches in exchange for a single wish to gain their deepest hearts desire.
But Marientte comes to learn there are far more insidious dangers the Magical Girls must face, the true weight of a wish, and that there are far greater prices to pay than ones life.

“Believe what you like.” It was both. Unfortunately for Alhaitham, he did care about Kaveh’s wellbeing, which is why he chose to do things like this. But it seemed no matter how often Alhaitham explicitly stated this, Kaveh would brush it off. It was a dance they had done for years, and Alhaitham didn’t make any more effort to make Kaveh understand he was serious. Kaveh wouldn’t believe him, or he would choose not to. It wouldn’t change anything if Kaveh believed it. Alhaitham would still be going through the motions of getting him to sleep in his bed on nights like this. They would still be having the same arguments. This was just another thing that had become a fact for Alhaitham about his life. Alhaitham cared about Kaveh. He would continue to care about him and for him, and Kaveh would continue to dismiss it. This was a fact that Alhaitham had learned to accept, ignoring the annoying twinge of pain that came with it.
