    Keeping his eyes closed does nothing to lessen the pain. The annoyingly familiar, soothing trickle of Peter’s words wash over him, and yet all Miguel can feel is the pain rising like the tides, taking its source in his belly and crawling up his chest to bury its venomous fangs in his heart. It doesn’t have enough decency to numb it like his own venom does.

     

    Miguel is having a bad day, and then it gets worse when Peter leaves.

    Miguel can hardly remember, unable to think of anything but the heat wrapping around him like a vice, making him dig his claws into the panel he’s leaning on. He presses a shaky hand to his head and groans, trying to think rationally. He looks back at the Spiders taking part in the meeting, his gaze landing on the Alpha casually munching on a burger and whacking away Pavitr’s sneaking hands. Miguel almost calls out to Peter, to tell him what’s happening, but how can he when the other Peter Parkers in this room don’t know of his second sex?

     

    When Miguel's heat not only hits early but hard, Miguel is not only scrambling to figure out why and how during said heat, but he's also worried about the aftermath now that the rest of the Spider Society is going to learn his secret.
