When Shen Yuan woke up in Proud Immortal Demon Way and saw his tiny, bruised, and battered body, his first thought was: God, please don’t let me be Luo Binghe! Anyone with a brain can tell I have no capacity for enduring suffering! Mercy, System, mercy!
Shortly thereafter, as the recently purchased property of the scum villain Shen Qingqiu himself, Shen Yuan had to wonder if maybe that first thought wouldn’t have been so bad after all. At least Luo Binghe had the protagonist halo! Never in a million years would the protagonist have had to endure the humiliation of being dragged kicking and screaming into the home of the scum villain, who… might not be that scummy after all?

The kid’s gray eyes met his. At first there was mostly hesitancy reflecting in them, but then they crinkled at the corner as a wider, warmer smile spread across Aang’s face. Wan returned it, already feeling a thrum of excitement at whatever life had in store for this abnormally young Avatar. Whatever it was, it would be interesting—he could sense it.

Without taking his eyes off Shen Qingqiu, he slammed the stack of papers on the table two more times, dropping them to complete the beat. Shen Qingqiu's eyes opened a little wider, and the gleam from before returned. Shang Qinghua distinguished it so clearly that he felt like crying.
It was recognition.
Shen Qingqiu was no more. A new soul now inhabited his body. A transmigrator, just like him.
Or: Thanks to a badly stacked pile of papers and the power of music, the transmigration revelation happens in quite a different (and more public) way.
