Yuuji’s got a powerful body and a handsome face, but between the sunshine smile and puppy eyes, he’s more boyish charm than roguish lure. No one’s put him to work yet, and it shows.
Satoru says, “A little closer, Yuuji.”
He steps forward, not quite breathing. His eyes, still stuck on her mouth, seem to be fighting not to drop lower.
Yuuji jolts when she grips his shoulder, his eyes flying wildly to her own.
“Kneel,” she orders softly, with the lightest pressure on his shoulder.
Yuuji drops like a stone, his knees hitting the floor with a dull thud that makes Satoru’s bones twinge in sympathy. And he’s still looking at her, eyes wider and wilder, and there it is, that sweet little blush. It spreads like watercolor on wet paper, made brighter and prettier by the thin sheen of sweat already there on every visible inch of his skin.
She taps his open mouth, once. “You won’t terribly mind if I borrow this, will you?”
Satoru tries to use her favorite student’s mouth; something else gets used instead.

Summary
There are silver streaks in Kurosaki’s hair. His expression isn’t set in the permanent frown Grimmjow’s used to—he’s not wearing much of an expression at all, face blank in a studied manner—but there are still faint lines on his forehead and softer, sweeter crinkles at the corners of his eyes and mouth. He’s broader in the shoulders and chest, and the lines of his body have softened.
This isn’t the boy he left behind.
“You’re old,” Grimmjow hears himself say.
Kurosaki’s careful non-expression breaks open into a crooked smile. His eyes glitter; they, at least, are that familiar warm brown, which soothes Grimmjow in a way he’s not keen on acknowledging.
“Older,” Kurosaki says. “And immortal ghost twunks don’t get to talk about my age.”

Twenty years ago, the Warlord of the North came down out of the mountains and slew the king of Kaedwen, taking crown and kingdom for his own. Everyone expected him to be overthrown almost immediately, but he has only grown ever more secure in his position. Finally, the other countries around Kaedwen have begun to negotiate with him as they would any other king.
To seal the new treaty between Redania and the Warlord, Lady Milena de Roggeven, third daughter of the Duke of Roggeven, has been sent to marry whichever of the Warlord’s men he chooses.
Milena is starkly terrified of everything about her new husband; every rumor she has ever heard about the barbarians of the north seems worse than the last, and Lambert clearly despises the very thought of marriage.
Lambert of the Wolves is still grieving his lost lover, dead more than three years now. The last thing he wants is to be married off to a terrified stranger, and he can’t imagine why Geralt and Eskel think he of all people is suited to a diplomatic marriage.
