“Spirits,” he said, the word half curse, half exhalation. “That’s what I was afraid you were going to say.”

Summary

Twelve years ago, Garrus Vakarian told her to come back alive. Now, after retiring early back on Palaven, the galaxy continues to feel emptier and emptier without her. With a glass of turian Horosk in one hand and Black Widow in the other, he's blurring the lines between reality and wishful thinking. That is, until Liara, Kaidan, and Tali show up at his front door with a lead on Shepard.
