Eldritch Elrond，有关血液恋物癖，慕伤，慕残，以至于和吉尔加拉德的尸体冰恋，为兄弟寿尽悲痛又忍不住觉得他老去的身体美丽——永恒的，无边无际的死亡是多么美丽啊！以世俗的观念来看，他得了创伤式的心理疾病。他没有被治好但学会掩饰了。在梅格洛尔为他的病态痛心疾首，自责而羞愧难当的时候，在迈兹洛斯按着他的肩膀，凝着他的眼睛一字一顿地说特殊不是疾病的时候；抑或是在梅格洛尔将他的母亲逼下悬崖，而迈兹洛斯盔甲上他族人的血缓慢地下爬——并捉住他和他兄弟的手脚，抚养他，要求他吃青菜的时候，埃尔隆德很早就学会了爱的二分法。
人们不经常信任依赖爱戴踹开你家门追杀你母亲的人；人们不经常对血液有兴奋反应，爱慕伤疤与残肢；人们不经常睡在君主的旁边，清楚地梦见他的死亡，并由衷地觉得他的焦尸美丽。不，人们不经常是埃尔隆德。努力抚养eldritch兄弟的大小梅，全然接纳、保护同时揶揄的星沫，受创伤仍理解包容满足丈夫的银冠，无故受害、好害怕性爱中伴侣失手自杀的星星。

埃尔隆德在经痛中胡思乱想的时候，曾琢磨过他的家族史。传说中，辛格的继承人迪奥是痛经的。但介于传说中迪奥正是因疼痛不适才落了下风，与凯勒巩同归与尽，其中有多少艺术加工就不得而知。迪奥的儿子未及初潮便死于深林了，而迪奥的女儿埃尔汶不怎么受扰，最差也只是病恹恹地没有心气照顾两个小孩；埃尔洛斯或许是遗传了她的体质。
埃尔隆德不太了解父亲——他甚至有些遗忘了父亲的面孔。他希望埃雅仁迪尔不会痛经；舵手的工作环境在海面上或夜空下，一定很冷。 -
