Summary
“We need to talk, and we will later.” Rumi tells him very seriously. “But right now, I just really want to kiss you until you forget your own name. Can I do that?”
Jinu abruptly thinks maybe his head isn’t back in working order like he thought it was. “Uh.” Jinu utters, eloquently. “Could you repeat that?”
“I want to kiss you,” Rumi repeats, slowly, enunciating each word so it’s unmistakable what she’s saying. “Until you forget your own name. Can I do that?”
So, apparently Jinu did hear right. But he’s not any less confused. “Why?” He blurts out before he can stop himself.
“Do you not want that?”
“No, no—” Jinu says quickly before the offer is rescinded. Because there’s not a world in which Jinu is not interested in that. He just… Doesn’t understand. “I’m a little confused how we got here, is all.”
(Or Rumi sees the slow burn romance trope and lights a molotov cocktail instead.)

Summary
Jinu's self-doubt lingers after he comes back to Rumi, and nightmares fill most of his nights. Forgiveness is always hard, even harder when you're trying to forgive yourself.
Or Jinu has nightmares, and so does Rumi. They find comfort in each other as they work at fighting the worst kind of demons, the ones inside.

“It’s new to me too, so apart from this, poofing in and out of places, and human transportation, I guess you could say…” Jinu pauses, clearing his throat. “You know by now we’ve seen it all.”
Rumi groans and throws the sponge in his direction but he easily dodges it with a chuckle. Quoting a line from their unreleased duet knowing all the drama currently surrounding the song and acting so nonchalant about it? She could kill him. Literally.
(She would never, but that didn’t stop her from glaring daggers at his stupid smiling face.)
