After a field trip to an I-Island Facility in Japan, where the Illustrious David and Melissa Shield are performing at an exhibit about creating Hero Suits that are as strong as durasteel. Midoriya Izuka is seen moving towards a hidden area within the exhibit, this is where she gets an unknowing... stowaway.
It bites her when she is distracted by the performance of David and Melissa Shield. And she isn't aware of it beginning to make changes to her body until she gets home. She doesn't kill the spider, just becomes friends with it treating it as nothing more than a pet to protect.
She learns from her mother, that with great power comes a great responsibility to protect. It is something she never asked for, but her mind had always hoped to get. Now she must traverse the Underworld as it's most well-known Vigilante Sill in order to survive this great threatening world that is ever-changing.
