Summary
Knuckleheaded and unpredictable: two words everyone always used to describe Uzumaki Naruto. Traveling back in time to save the world from his hellscape of a future proved those words fitting.
Naruto lost everyone he’d ever loved and didn’t think he could feel anything beyond the desire to complete his mission. He didn’t expect this new (old) Konoha, with new friends wearing familiar faces from his decimated past. He didn’t expect to care so deeply about random jounin he’d barely known before. And, perhaps a tad ironically, he really didn’t expect Kakashi.

More team 7 training/bonding with Kakashi and Soma. Soma hears team 7 is sent on Wave mission while he was gone on his own mission & begs the Hokage to let him follow them to give them back up. Soma just met up with them the night after the first fight with Zabuza. The fight against them goes well. No one dies and it seems like the mist will become allies.
Shikaku talks to Soma and tells him that he knows he killed Danzo but wants to hear Soma explain why. Soma tells him ALL THE TEA. So Shikaku officially knows he’s Naruto from a bleak future and lots of deets about the war itself and the events leading up to it. Shikaku tell Soma he’ll help him and advise him. He is the only one who knows about Soma being a future Naruto.
Soma gets attacked by Obito when on a mission with Raido and Genma. Genma gets pretty hurt while they try to protect Soma. Soma also comes back pretty bruised up and this triggers Kakashi to panic and pull up to Soma’s place and leads to am intense make out session with Soma. This leads to them taking it to the bedroom and telling each other that they wouldn’t want this to be a one time thing and it wouldn’t be casual. Then they do the do. (I’m not sure who tops yet? The shmexy wasn’t written in detail past the make out parts) pretty sure it’s Kakashi though, using the subtext.
Soma asks Naruto to move in with him. Naruto says yes and now they’re gonna look for a new place to live together. Sakura and Sasuke have decided to try and be there more for Naruto and bond the team more. Sasuke still is learning kenjutsu from Soma, Sakura is reading medical nin books from Soma, and Naruto is learning sealing. Naruto asks to see sealing used in a fight and Soma agrees and then asks Kakashi to spar. The spar goes well and then Soma has a therapy session with Kurama about using and creating seals. Last chapter ends with some spicy KakaNaru getting it on against the front door inside Kakashi’s apartment. (It’s pretty much confirmed Kakashi tops here)
Shikaku comes to find Soma while he’s out with Kakashi. He asks for a game of shogi but Kakashi can tell there’s more to it, and that Shikaku knows something about Soma that he doesn’t yet. Soma ends up teleporting with Shikaku outside of the village so he can show him the full extent of his abilities with Kurama’s chakra and tailed beast mode.

Complete! Finished up to Chp. 30
Yuuji’s soul time travels and replaces his younger self. This takes place after the final fight with Sukuna in Megumi’s body, but in this universe, none of his friends survive. He tells Gojo about the future right away, but then runs away from JJK tech a couple weeks later. Megumi and Kugisaki figure out he’s from the future due to Megumi’s discussion with Yuuji before he ran, along with a notebook with details about the Shibuya incident in Yuuji’s room. Choso finds Yuuji while on the run and Yuuji is able to convince him they’re brothers. Todo goes looking for him along with Megumi and Kugusaki. Todo finds him and convinces Yuuji and Choso to go back to JJK tech and let everyone help him prevent that terrible future.
Kenjaku can tell something is different with Yuuji when he watched him fight Mahito when they save Mechamaru, but isn’t sure what until he figures it out later during the Shibuya fight.
Shibuya goes similarly, but also very differently. Everyone’s already inside the initial barriers so dismantling them is quicker. Toji is still revived and ends up fighting Megumi, but instead of summoning Mahoraga, he does his first domain expansion. Also Gojo is with him so even after that doesn’t kill Toji, Gojo fights him until Toji remembers himself and slits his own throat like canon. Maki figures out a heavenly vow that lets her share her power with her sister (?) like a back and forth thing. When one is strong the other is weak. Gojo never gets sealed cuz he’s prepared to see Geto’s body.
However, Yuuji ends up being sealed after using the dismantle technique and assimilating too far with his future soul. His younger body doesn’t handle the soul assimilating well, so Sukuna takes over, but Gojo is there and Yuuji has enough control to impede him by controlling one arm and choking him out while Gojo stalls long enough to have him sealed in the prison cube. He’s released practically seconds later by Kenjaku using the inverted heavenly spear, but much more time has passed in the cube and Yuuji has defeated Sukuna in a battle of wills and ultimately strength. Yuuji comes out of the cube and discusses the meaning of humanity and love to Mahito before slicing him up and feeding him to Rika so that Yuta can use Mahito’s powers to reverse some of the damage done as well as hopefully save Megumi’s sister Tsumiki. Kenjaku is defeated by Gojo while trying to escape and his severed head along with 11 of Sukuna fingers are then sealed in the prison realm cube.
They’d done it. The future appears to be safe and Yuuji feels like a weight is finally lifted off of him. He asks Gojo is it’s real, and if they’ve truly won. Gojo tells him yes and then Yuuji passes out.
After he passes out, we see more of the backstory from what happened to Yuuji before his soul travels back in time. Apparently after defeating Sukuna, (And saving Megumi) he along with other survivors (like Yuuta and Maki) are taken by government officials looking to experiment on cursed energy users. We see a flips of Yuuji waking up while being literally dissected before he is pumped with more drugs and passes out again. We then get a longer glimpse of the old timeline before Yuuji regressed. After defeating Sukuna, Yuuji and other sorcerers were kind of experimented on for a bit? Then eventually Yuuji was the only one left alive that he was aware of? He died fighting a special grade curse before waking up in his dorm in the past. And the rest is history. Epilogue with Yuuji learning to allow himself to keep living despite remembering his other timeline. Nanamin gets a trip to Malaysia, the trio + Gojo and megumi’s sister go to Disney. Gojo gets to hear Yuuji tell him they plan to build a future where everyone shares the burden of jujutsu society and Gojo can grow old and rest.

Kento opens his eyes to nuclear blue.
“You know, Nanami,” says Gojou Satoru, “when I told you to take care of Yuuji, this is not what I meant.”
“Gojou-san,” Kento rasps, voice thick with sleep and worse, “I assume Shouko-san told you about the situation.”
“Well, she left out a few key details,” Gojou says, that scimitar of a smile widening. “Or did she? You didn’t tell her, did you? For shame, Nanami.”
“I take it you came to fetch Itadori-kun.”
“I sure did,” he confirms, all faux cheer. “Now I don’t know. I’d hate to do that when Yuuji seems so…attached.”
Every word is serrated and suggestive, but even worse is the way Gojou’s eyes flicker to Kento’s groin, a pale eyebrow rising in some foul blend of surprise and mockery. Kento knows with damning certainty that Gojou’s seeing more than he should, those cursed eyes not limited by line of sight.
It’s impossible, then, to ignore the cock inside him and the boy it’s attached to.
Stress and trauma trigger Yuuji’s rut a few years too early. Kento’s too kind for his own good, while Satoru’s too curious for anyone’s good.
