Nightwing actually laughed at that, sounding unbelievably tired, and more than ready to just pass out where he sat.
Which would be a very annoying thing for Jason to have to deal with this early in the morning.
It was supposed to be his one off day this month dammit.
“So they say, yeah,” Nightwing agreed, voice so soft that Jason only heard it because of his enhanced hearing.
There was a beat of silence, followed by a warning of incoming stupidity in the form of a teasing smile curving Nightwing’s lips.
“You think my head is pretty, Jay?”

Dick arched a brow, surprised that the man was still speaking to him.
And that he was apparently into reading.
A scholar AND an expert marksman?
Well, I’ll be damned – Dick always liked it when his men had a brain.
Not that… Not that the Red Hood was his man or anything like that.
It’s just—
Never mind.
"You basically insulted my intelligence within the first ten seconds of meeting me, and now you're asking me my opinion on books?" Dick drawled.
Hood fidgeted in place.
Or,
Stuck in a pit of emotional turmoil, Dick Grayson tries to distract himself from his problems by reading a crappy book on the rooftop of his apartment building.
He hadn't expected – or really wanted – to have company.
However, a chance meeting with notorious criminal and Anti-hero, the Red Hood, turns out to be an even better distraction than his crappy book.
It also helps that Hood is unfairly attractive and, surprisingly, quite chivalrous.
Dick is undeniably intrigued.
