Rumplestiltskin wakes from the Dark Curse to find that Mr. Gold has been assigned a Mrs. Gold -- and it's Snow White. Even worse, Belle is married to the biggest buffoon in town, Prince Charming. He sets out to fully break the curse as fast as he can, even if it's only so he can reunite with his true love.
There's no other reason. It's not also because he begins to grow fond of Snow and Charming and wishes to see them reunited, too. Not at all. Not even a little bit.
He's the Dark One, and he's not here to make friends...right?
