Summary
What Jayce first ascribed to suppressants (and sheer willpower) was actually the byproduct of a serious medical condition. Viktor hasn't had a heat since he was a teenager. Every year Viktor’s hypothalamus tested the dry well of his fuel reserves and elected to divert any runoff from ovulation to more vital bodily functions (say, breathing).
Worse: It’s common knowledge that heats and ruts are strongest at their outset. Hormones fluctuate over the years; cycles settle; the body calibrates to accommodate the unruly roommate of ovulation. But Viktor’s body doesn’t have the benefit of practice. Somehow—against every natural law—Viktor, about a side glance from death and as far as a decade from his last heat, is about to nosedive into an induction furnace.

When the temporary energy boost from his first Shimmer experiment triggers a heat, Viktor resolves to suffer the consequences alone. Needless to say, things don't go as planned.

Following his line of sight, Viktor noticed the brothel and laughed. “It is work, Jayce. Just like anything else.”
“I guess. But isn’t it kind of… violating?”
“Eh, not particularly.” Viktor shrugged. “No more than any other physical labor.”
A nervous laugh bubbled out of Jayce. “You sound like you’re talking from experience.”
Viktor halted, and Jayce had to curve his body to avoid crashing into him. Turning, Viktor gave him a long, indecipherable look and said, ”Perhaps I am. Would that matter to you?”

Jayce keeping his hands to himself is not the thing he was worried about. It’s everybody else who wouldn’t be able to keep their hands away from him. They descend on topsiders like piranhas when presented with the opportunity. Their naïveté precedes them. Viktor has seen men and women undone by hands and tongues in mere minutes, and they’re not too keen on stopping before they’ve had more than their fill.
It’s so lawless, even for the undercity, that the only way to assure Jayce’s sanctity would be to put him in a fucking tag.
…Now there’s a thought.

Or.
Jayce and Viktor survive the hexcore and are spat out back to the night they decided to become partners. But Jayce has an entire other life in his head. And Viktor has infinite multitudes. All they have is each other, no one else remembers or knows what happened.

This was simply amazing and i consider this the best hc when it comes to what happens after the show. I love them being si possessive, jealous, si co dependant. Yes they are red flag your honor, but they make it hot and seeing how much they love each other, who can blame them?!
But it's not just that, it's also the scenario, the fight for zaun, the arc with silco, and all the glumpses at other timelines and possibilités.
And on top of that, it's well writen. And absolute must read!!!
