...[and] I can’t help but dream of the wildflower epiphany of maybe things will be okay after all.
Or: Arthur dies earlier, they still attend the Rio Olympics, and Henry runs away.

Summary
“I think,” Morty pauses, swallows dryly, tries again: “I think we should talk about it.”
Honestly, Rick thinks they really should not talk about it. Morty has this idea that talking is the best way to cope with grief, which, if you ask Rick, is stupid. After all, who’s to say one coping mechanism is better than any other? Some people like to talk about it with close friends and loved ones, some people like to pretend it never happened, and some people like to have sex with their underage grandsons and then slam their own heads in convection ovens. Again: who’s to say?
Morty is still looking at him expectantly. Meanwhile — for some reason — they both still have the other’s limp dicks in their hands. It’s like having a relay race at the fucking deli section.
It’s the anniversary of absolutely nothing. Rick copes as best he can.

Summary
Just your regular Smith family Thanksgiving: it’s not even five and Summer is going through a boyfriend-related crisis, Beth is already annoyed with him, and Rick and Morty are more Rick-and-Morty than usual. Rick is even drinking non-alcoholic sparkling cider, and if that isn’t a sign of the End Times, Jerry doesn’t know what is.
(Something strange is afoot. Jerry’s not as smart as Rick or Beth, but he tries his best to figure out why.)

“It's excellent rehabilitation for my image,” Loki says, widening his eyes. “They love you, and because of that they'll trust me. You wouldn't ruin this for me, would you?”
Thor glares at him.
Loki’s mouth twitches. “Also, it's the funniest thing that's ever happened to me.”
