An ordinary thief didn't have a scent that made his knees weak, made his eyes tear up as he realized for the first time in six fucking months he could breathe, the bite mark on the side of his neck throbbing in the presence of the alpha that had left it. An ordinary thief wouldn't have stood at his entrance, eyes soft and smile genuine, arms reaching out to hold him. An average thief wouldn't say his name in such a way that sent his heart racing, making his child, their child, flip within his womb.
Because standing before him was no normal thief.
"You came back," Izuku choked out, his knife falling to his side, from his hands, clattering to the wooden floor they'd both built.
"Deku," Katsuki purred, "I came home."
"Get out of my den, Bakugou."

“Don’t call me that. From now on, unless you are talking with others, my name is Inko.” She snarled, voice laced with so much venom that the child flinched back and dragged himself farther away with the hand that wasn’t holding his cheek. “Understand?”
Izuku stared, feeling a sense of cold attachment as the reality of his new life started to sink in.
Silently, he nodded. Not saying a word as he slowly continued to pull his body across the ground and closer to the wooden shed behind him. The pain that throbbed across his face causing tears to prick at his eyes.
“Good. Now, start gathering your things from inside. You have two hours.” With that the woman turned, leaving the child behind without a backwards glance. Wrenching the door open before slamming it closed as she disappeared from view. Izuku stared after her the entire time, trying to come to terms with what happened.
Izuku was four the first time his mother hit him.
It was also the first time he realized that when someone said they loved you, they were probably lying.

It was supposed to be a routine hunt. Go into the expansive ass forest behind their village, dead-eye some deer, maybe a boar or two, gather a few buck antlers and be over with it. Easy. But no, apparently, the gods of the forest either wanted to fuck with him or reward him.
But fuck, Katsuki can't tell if he is angry about what is happening, making him lose precious hunting time, or if he should visit any hunting god's shrines and thank them.
He remembers seeing the little thing out of the corner of his eye, the swish of that fuzzy tail. He readied his arrow, pulled back, and shot straight through the foliage. Instead of hearing a deer shriek, it was a warbled cry.
A fucking human cry.
Shit.

Duo had to admit that when he saw the half-orc sitting alone at the tavern bar he was intrigued. He’d seen plenty of orcs in his lifetime, so he knew that their flesh came in a variety of shades of color, but Heero’s had been particularly striking. He always thought that green was a sickly sort of color, but this orc’s flesh was glowing with health. His verdant flesh reminded him of the tender summertime leaves of the golden willows back home. It was fascinating and not entirely uniform. As they flirted over drinks, Duo noted that the orc would blush just as red as an elf, the dusky rose stretched across the bridge of his nose and up to the tips of his long, pointed ears.
That charming rouge darkened significantly when Duo had jammed his hand down the front of the orc's pants.
