    Summary

Something had changed in Frank Castle, after the bullet had rocketed out of the chamber and sliced into Peter's cheek.

"I'm down," Peter said, his voice hoarse. "Okay?"

The Punisher stared, his jaw clenched.

    "I'm - I'm not moving."

Peter had a sense that he was prey, and this was a rattled hunter. He wasn't going to move an inch.

"Okay," Castle said, swallowing lowly. Raw. "Yeah, kid. Okay."

    Summary

Peter Parker is a self sacrificing teenager. 14 with dead parents, dead uncle, and now a dead aunt. Foster care is rough, rougher than being Spider-Man ever was. With his friends ignored, and almost total isolation Peter Parker assures himself that he mustn't be the only Parker left.

But he's not even a Parker.
    —————————
Peter knows he’s selfish. Knows how incredibly selfish it is to want to drag a man into this. Into his life. Into the fucked up things he has going on. But the man should know right? He deserves to know that he has a child out there.

Peter pushes down the whimper he feels at the man’s expression. It changed from assessment to pity in an instant. “Hello Mr. Matt Murdock! In college you had relations with a certain Mary Fitzpatrick, later renamed Mary Parker.”

Matt’s grip tightens on the desk he was lax resting against. He swallows thickly.

“She had a son. And uh.. Might be fifteen years late on the announcement but um..” Peter shuffles awkwardly. “Hi, I'm Peter Parker, and I'm pretty sure you're my dad.”

    Summary

Peter’s gotten used to Gotham by now. The thousand little sounds that build up to the cacophony of a city in controlled chaos. But it isn’t home, and it never will be, and the more time passes, the more that thought makes him twitch. He’s frustrated by it, annoyed that he feels like he’s forcing his way through a world that doesn’t belong to him. Worse, the Soul Stone is starting to become more and more of an issue. As if it senses something coming.

Tony's last words had been 'the threat always comes back.' Thanos won't be thwarted forever, only delayed. Eventually, he's going to hunt down the stray Soul Stone that Peter holds.

The Bats have a few opinions on that. The Avengers that have fallen into this other world have a few of their own. And there's the problem of Dr. Strange's letter...
